"Runway" is a song by The Gliding Faces from the album Veritas. The song is about fashion runways and wearing clothes that make you feel invincible. "When we started with the chords and added that octave bassline," says Dan, "it sounded so French. I suggested we call it 'Catwalk' and of course, Max called it 'Runway' and there it stayed and grew into something awesome." Max says, "The song is about a catwalk and what it means for people. It's a punchy sassy song and it's got lots of energy and makes you want to stomp in stilettos."
Lyrics
When you walk these beams Feel your skin against these seams Confidence is key With a smile you can spill the tea Stomping stilettos Catch your breath Never smile Fresh to death Runway, runway Lit like a boxing ring Runway, runway Makes the rhinestones sing Runway, runway Feels like a tightrope Runway, runway Feeds the people's hope Runway, Runway Runway, runway Runway, Runway Runway, Runway Shadow running down your cheek Charge those hips Hit the beat You'll turn the corner Catch the light Let the crowd Power your flight Stomping stilettos Catch your breath Never smile Fresh to death Runway, runway Lit like a boxing ring Runway, runway Makes the rhinestones sing Runway, runway Feels like a tightrope Runway, runway Feeds the people's hope Runway, runway Lit like a boxing ring Runway, runway Makes the rhinestones sing Runway, runway Feels like a tightrope Runway, runway Feeds the people's hope S’habiller est un mode de vie Sans élégance de cœur, il n’y a pas d’élégance La vie est faite des petits bonheurs La beauté n’a pas d’age Runway, runway Lit like a boxing ring Runway, runway Makes the rhinestones sing Runway, runway Feels like a tightrope Runway, runway Feeds the people's hope Runway, runway Lit like a boxing ring Runway, runway Makes the rhinestones sing Runway, runway Feels like a tightrope Runway, runway Feeds the people's hope Runway, runway Runway, runway Runway, runway Runway, runway Runway, runway Runway, runway
