Fibbing for fun

"Fibbing for fun" is a social commentary on people who enjoy stirring up trouble for others as a form of entertainment. The song appears as a B-side to "Wake me up tonight" from the album Veritas. While Dan liked the song, he thought that the word "fibbing," despite its alliteration in the title and hook of the song, was "a bit of a rubbish word. It's kinda flaccid, 'fibbing'!"
Lyrics
Be careful whom you tell your stories to Soon enough, they'll sell them with a lie Of you Don't be foolish and make things worse By facing the liar They love seeing you curse In this jungle They're fibbing for fun To get a reaction Acting so dumb In this party They're fibbing for fun Alcohol-infused liars Emotionally numb How will you learn who to trust When only one or two Want what's best What will it take to cut out the poison When the mycelium leads up to your feet In this jungle They're fibbing for fun To get a reaction Acting so dumb In this party They're fibbing for fun Alcohol-infused liars Emotionally numb I can't believe That you would lie to me Use my gullible whimsy To push this story They're fibbing for fun They're fibbing for fun In this jungle They're fibbing for fun To get a reaction Acting so dumb In this party They're fibbing for fun Alcohol-infused liars Emotionally numb
