"I dream of dystopia" is a song by The Gliding Faces and is one of the B-sides to "Abandoned". "This was one of those moments where Max starts working on a song and you're never really sure which direction it's going to go in. Max loves a bit of dissonance and BAM! Max hits you with an A♭aug as the second chord! It all adds to the tension and discomfort of the song." Regarding the song, Max has this to say: "'I dream of dystopia' is a song about seeing an apocalyptic future and not knowing who to tell, or whether it will even happen."

Lyrics

I don't believe in crystals
Or auras and ley lines
But last night I dreamt
Of sadness in timelines

I don't know who to tell
Will it even help

I dream of dystopia
Sleeping in this hell
I dream of dystopia
But no one can tell

The money went missing
Questions were asked
The dream led to a door
Where the figures were masked

I don't know who to tell
Will it even help

I dream of dystopia
Sleeping in this hell
I dream of dystopia
But no one can tell

Who is he
Why was he smiling
Who is he
Why was he smiling

Who is he
How did he get here
Why was he smiling
Eyes filled with fear
Who is he
How did he get here
Why was he smiling
Why is he smiling

I dream of dystopia
Sleeping in this hell
I dream of dystopia
But no one can tell

I dream of dystopia
I dream of dystopia
I dream of dystopia
I dream of dystopia
