"Awash" is a song by The Gliding Faces from the album Dark matters. Dan wrote the music and lyrics, while Max did a splendid job of making sense of Dan's slightly odd lyrical rhythm.

Lyrics

Walking along the shore
I can't take any more
Of your bullshit
I'm done with it

You don't behave like you oughta
Now our ship is taking on water
You're the suspect
Who caused us to be shipwrecked

But like a moth to the flame
I reset the board and get back in the game
It's folly
To say sorry

So I'm awash with anger
With you and with me
Awash with fear of what this could be
Wash me away
That's the price I pay

The smell of sea in the air
The salt stiffens my hair
I could visit
But I'm done with it

I was caught in your riptide
But the gulf between us is too wide
And it's still folly
For me to say sorry

So I'm awash with anger
With you and with me
Awash with fear of what this could be
Wash me away
That's the price I pay

So I'm awash with anger
With you and with me
Awash with fear of what this could be
Wash me away
That's the price I pay
