"Disco paranoia" is a song by The Gliding Faces from the album Veritas. The song is about feeling anxiety while in a night club as Max elaborates: "'Disco paranoia' is about the effects of drinking alcohol and how it can sometimes make us feel paranoid. Especially when you're in a club and you see someone you don't want to or something intense happens!"

Lyrics

Filling with people
They push and shove
My nerves are shaking
Like the lasers above

My stomach drops like the beat
The walls closing around my feet

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia

Alarms in my ear
Anxiety like mould
The vodka's not helping
Soon, I'll fold

My brain filled with lies
My senses are fried
There's so much I'll take
One more song and I'll break

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia

Then I remember why I'm here
The outside world can disappear
I'll grab a drink and take a shot
And try to forget the lot

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia

In this disco
I feel
So strongly
Paranoia
