Lyrics

Gazing upon this burnt horizon
I know there's only one direction
Through the fire wind and rain
 Snaking motions navigate the plane

 When I
 Left you
 Time just
 Stood still

 I don't care about rewards
I'll study all my life at Oxford
Learn the way to wield this knife
Cut out my heart to renew my life

Now we come to round two
Take my silence as a cue
Inside thoughts riddled by a Sphinx
If I falter she'll take my hints

I know I promised to come back
After weighing options, I'm making tracks
Every minute with you, I used tropes
To understand your choices wrapped in ropes

 Now I've
 Left you
 Time runs
 Backwards

 I don't care about rewards
I'll study all my life at Oxford
Learn the way to wield this knife
Cut out my heart to renew my life

 I don't care about rewards
I'll study all my life at Oxford
Learn the way to wield this knife
Cut out my heart to renew my life

I have to admit this is a lesson
About how I handle emotional repression
Scanning the area to find the old me
Reunited here under a hemlock tree

 I execute a moon-like motion
Facing an idol which is halcyon
And sometimes I think it's all over
But the ghosts inside drown my hunger

 I don't care about rewards
I'll study all my life at Oxford
Learn the way to wield this knife
Cut out my heart to renew my life

 I don't care about rewards
I'll study all my life at Oxford
Learn the way to wield this knife
Cut out my heart to renew my life
